Compensation: $900 USD All-Inclusive Monthly Retainer

Hi, I’m Sam.
I run Young Scholars Academy, a mission-driven virtual school serving twice-exceptional (2e) and neurodivergent learners. We are currently serving 400 families and scaling to 2,000+.

I need a "Financial Brain" to partner with me—someone who can think strategically, execute flawlessly, and keep both my business and personal finances moving forward. I’m looking for a partner who doesn't just "do the books," but helps me think and keeps me focused on the numbers that move the needle.

Your Core Responsibilities

Financial Guardianship: Manage bookkeeping and reconciliations for both the business (Young Scholars Academy) and my personal accounts in QuickBooks Online.
The "Decision Dashboard": Prepare weekly reports summarizing cash flow, upcoming obligations, and key metrics like Lifetime Value (LTV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

Wealth Stewardship: Manage bill payments, payroll, and contractor payments for the business and my household. help my family with budgeting and hitting investment deadlines.

Advisory & Modeling: Develop and maintain 12-month rolling cash flow forecasts to support our growth goals.

Up-Management: Lead our weekly 30-minute 1 on 1 Zoom meetings. Set the agenda, hold me accountable to deadlines, and be comfortable telling me "No" when an idea doesn't fit the strategic financial plan

Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in accounting or financial management. Experience with US-based small businesses is highly preferred.
Technical: Mastery of QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel. Familiarity with AI and automation tools (Zapier/Make) is a major plus.
Communication: Exceptional English. You can explain complex financial concepts to a non-finance visionary clearly and simply [1, 1].
Mindset: Extreme attention to detail, proactive, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Schedule and Benefits
Fractional Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours per week.
Meeting Window: You must be available for a weekly meeting within the 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time window. Outside of this, your hours are flexible.
Guaranteed Pay: $900/month total (Retainer + Tech/Internet Stipends).
13th Month Pay: Mandatory benefit equivalent to one month's basic retainer.

Paid Holidays: You will receive paid time off for all 2026 Philippine Regular Holidays (see list below).
