Company Brief:
We are supporting a privately owned company that distributes marine dock parts and supplies, with a strong and growing e-commerce operation in Florida. The business serves both B2B and B2C customers and relies heavily on its digital channels to drive sales, support customer experience, and scale efficiently across domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities
Owning the end to end e-commerce operation across Shopify as the primary platform
Managing and supporting the back office and digital team
Overseeing technical, operational, and day to day e-commerce activities
Acting as the main point of contact for agencies and third party vendors
Representing the company on technical, operational, and integration related calls
Managing product additions, integrations, customer service escalations, and platform issues
Ensuring the team is aligned, productive, and clear on priorities
Running regular check ins and one on ones with direct reports
Coordinating with in person staff as it relates to e-commerce operations
Communicating clearly with company owners on progress, issues, and priorities
Getting hands on when needed to resolve issues or unblock the team
Platforms and Experience Required
Strong expertise in Shopify is required
Experience with Amazon is strongly preferred
Exposure to Walmart or eBay is a plus but not required
Comfort managing integrations, apps, and technical workflows
Experience working with agencies and external partners
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Shopify experience in a live e-commerce environment
Proven experience maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting Shopify stores
Experience managing or supporting marketplace platforms such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay and More
Background working in product-based or multi-channel e-commerce businesses
Strong understanding of end-to-end e-commerce operations and workflows
Comfortable working remotely and independently with minimal supervision
Able to manage day-to-day execution while overseeing team output and priorities
Ability to work fully during Eastern Standard Time business hours
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with additional marketplaces such as Walmart or other third-party platforms
Familiarity with e-commerce integrations, apps, and third-party tools
Basic understanding of e-commerce financials, including margins, pricing, and cost of goods
Experience coordinating with agencies or external vendors
Exposure to international e-commerce operations or cross-border selling
Comfortable supporting or overseeing digital marketing initiatives in partnership with specialists or agencies
Experience helping scale or integrate new brands or acquisitions into an existing e-commerce platform

Comes from a small business or growing company environment
Is comfortable wearing multiple hats
Can lead without being “too high level”
Is not afraid to get into the operational or technical details
Can grow with the company as we scale and potentially acquire other businesses
